Computer Science Studies, Roskilde University
Spring Semester 2011

Courses and project works offered in this semester

The following computer science courses and project works are offered in English and are open for all Erasmus and guest students.

Most 7.5 ECTS courses run from the start of September (autumn sem.)/February (spring sem.) until late November (autumn sem.)/April (spring sem.), whereas "Advanced Topics ....." runs about 1 month starting immediately after the other courses have finished. Exams take place typically in January (autumn sem.)/June (spring sem.).

Each course takes up a full day each week, and some overlap in time is unavoidable; the schedule usually not known until the start of the semester, but we try to arrange a schedule that minimizes the possible problems.

Not all combinations of choices are possible, so check very carefully the web page on How to put together your own study program.

It is required that you have a sufficient background in English in order to follow lectures, participate actively in discussions with other students, and that you master written English to an extent so you can write you own reports (for project works and written assigments) in a clear and understandable way.

Courses in Danish and English Language

Roskilde University offers also courses that introduce to Danish Language and Culture and courses in English for Academics (limited number of participants). Find more information at http://www.ruc.dk/lics_en/

Notice that some of these courses may start mid January and that you may need to register separately for these courses.
