Olga Pacheco -------------------------------------------- A Neighborhood Semantics for a Role-based Deontic and Agency Logic Norms are designed with the purpose of guiding actions of agents, describing how they should behave and what would be the consequences of deviating from expected behavior. Norms that apply to an agent depend on multiple factors related with the context of his action. One of this factors is the role the agent is playing when acting. The same action done by the same agent when he plays different roles, may have different normative consequences. In this paper we do not aim at representing norms. We only consider the obligations, permissions or prohibitions that result from them. A role-based multi-modal deontic and agency logic, combining deontic operators with agency operators indexed by agents in roles, has been proposed before, to try to capture the above mentioned aspects. In this paper we want to reformulate and discuss its semantics in terms of neighborhood general frames. We also illustrate different possible applications of the logic in the formal specification and analysis of role-based normative systems.
