CANCELLATION

Please note that DHRS2010 has been cancelled because we received too few submissions. DHRS2011 is organized by Torkil Clemmensen, CBS.

INTRODUCTION

Roskilde University is happy to host the tenth Danish HCI Research Symposium (DHRS2010). The aim of the symposium is to stimulate Danish research in human-computer interaction by providing an overview of current activities and an opportunity for networking. To do this we adopt a broad definition of HCI research and encourage contributions that reflect the variety of topics, methods, theories, application domains and so forth involved in our research. Practitioners are encouraged to contribute reflections on industrial experiences with HCI work. The working language of the symposium is English.

DHRS has existed since 2001. The previous symposia have been hosted by University of Aarhus (2001, 2006, 2009), University of Copenhagen (2002), Roskilde University (2003), Aalborg University (2004, 2008), Copenhagen Business School (2005), and IT University of Copenhagen (2007). Links to the proceedings from the previous symposia can be found at the sigchi.dk website (proceedings). This year's symposium will continue the tradition from the previous symposia.

CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite researchers from academia and industry to participate by submitting a paper on recent or ongoing work. Symposium papers can present work in progress, recent published work, organizational overviews, teaching experiences, an so forth. HCI should be interpreted broadly, including ethnographical, sociological, aesthetic, psychological, and numerous other approaches to researching the interaction between humans and computers, including implementation and evaluation of new and innovative interaction techniques and models for implementing modern interactive systems.

Submissions will be reviewed by the organizers to ensure that they address HCI in a broad sense and have a focus on research or reflective practice. All accepted papers will be published in the symposium proceedings. If the number of accepted papers exceeds the possibilities for presentations within the timeframe of the symposium, some papers will be selected for oral presentation and others for poster presentation.

Papers must be in English and are restricted to four pages in the ACM conference-paper format (templates). Papers must be submitted in PDF format by email to: mhz@ruc.dk.

PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION

Participation in the symposium is restricted to authors of accepted papers and a limited number of additional people. The registration fee for the symposium is DKK 600 per participant. It includes printed proceedings, lunch, and refreshments.
